Voyage à Nice

The Alliance Française UK (AFUK) and the Alliance Française de Nice (AFN) are working together to give the opportunity to AFO students to learn French at the AFN and live the French experience in Nice during a week!

The trip will take place from October 18th to 24th 2026. September is a fantastic time to go to Nice as is it less hot and there are fewer tourists!

Registrations for the trip are now open until the 1st of July. The process of registration is explained in the registration part down below.

The Alliance Française de Nice is perfectly located in the centre of Nice, in the rue de Paris. The AFN is easy to reach by public transport, is 10 minutes away from the train station and 20 minutes away from the famous "promenade des anglais" beach.

In the AFN you will have access to their Café, located in the same street as the AFN. This place is ideal for coffee or lunch break, you will also have access to books, DVD, board games in their library and to some cultural activities!

Prices for this trip vary on the options you will choose, Alliance students benefit from 10% off courses and do not pay administration fees. Four packages are available:

Please note that the fees do not include the journey, it is the participants' responsibility to book their flights.

The AFN teachers are highly qualified and are experts in teaching French.
Level appropriate classes take place in the morning from 9am to 1pm from Monday until Friday, a total of 20h over 5 days. A two-hour phonetics workshop is planned on the Tuesday afternoon. 

The number of student per class is maximum 18, but there are usually between 8 and 12 people per class.

Options are to arrange accommodation independently or to book through AFN. Studios in the residence on the AFN campus include:

• Less than one minute away from classrooms
• Direct access to the café
• Furnished individual studios
• Private bathroom
• Kitchenette with everything you need to cook
• CCTV
• Unlimited access to WiFi
• Air-conditioning
• Breakfast and lunch from Monday to Friday

It is possible to arrive a few days before or to leave a few days after in your accommodation. If your partner is also taking part in the trip it is possible to book a studio for two people. The AFN will adapt your invoice.

You will have to book your own travel and organise transportation from and to the airport/train yourself.
When you arrive at the airport, few options are possible:

- The AFN can book a taxi for you to go from the airport to your studio
- A tramway line goes from the airport to the residence
- You can book a taxi on your own

• A guided visit through Old Nice on Monday, 19th October

• A Niçoise cooking tasting on Tuesday, 20th October

• A visit to a vineyard on Thursday, 22nd October

• A guided tour of the Matisse museum on Friday, 23rd of October 

If you have studied with the AFO in the last 2 years, you are eligible for the reduction.
