A level French | Y12
This term, our students will focus on topics related to culture in francophone countries. Among other things, they will discuss the
importance of cinema, music, architecture or even gastronomy within the francophone heritage. Grammar points will focus on the future and
past tenses, but also direct object pronouns and simple relative pronouns.
Pace: 1.5 hours weekly
A level French | Y13
This term, our students will focus on all things political, from the right to vote to protests and strikes (we all know how much the French
like to protest!) Among other things, they will talk about specific political parties and will discuss the rise of certain parties or
political figures. Grammar points will focus on subjunctive and indicative structures, cleft sentences, and also on a variety of sentence
builders, such as connectives and time markers.
Pace: 1.5 hours weekly
GCSE French | Level 1
This term, our students will discuss their family, hobbies and holidays. They will review basic grammar points such as the present tense or
the comparative form, and further their knowledge of the futur proche, negative sentences, and question words.

GCSE French | Level 2
This term, our students will talk about key GCSE topics such as future studies, traditions and celebrations. They will learn how to voice
their opinion, compare traditions, and discuss their career objectives. Grammar points will focus on the revision of all the main tenses, en
and y pronouns, and the difference between imperfect and passé composé.

GCSE Speaking Practice Workshop
Ideal for students passing their exams in Spring 24 or Spring 25.
Open to all students Year 10 or 11, all boards welcome. No need to be a student of the Alliance to attend.
